Honestly I love Mercedes cars my daily driver is a CL 55 Amg w215 but I really love the older ones my dad use to have a black 500 SEC and I always loved it the seatbelts coming out was incredible to see and it had so much room it grew on me and now that I am older I bought one for myself!

86 560 SEC questions. Hey guys, in love with the late 80's-91 560sec, so my plan is to purchase one and make an AMG clone. I can handle mocking up/attaching/blending in a body kit, got hookups for paint, etc. My concern however is with the subtle changes and since I have zero experience here I am hoping you ladies and gents can let me know of
alydon. The 3 piece dash wood set for a Gen I 500SEC is exactly the same as for any W126 - sedan or coupe - for the years 1981 - 1988. The only W126 differences is for US cars for 1989 - 1991 that have a passenger airbag - the airbag replaces the glove box and the wood on the glove box door is replaced by a thin strip of wood over the airbag.
