Okso I just installed AC Revelations that I got from a giveaway years ago on my PC (Ryzen 5 3600, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660, 16gb RAM etc.). Long story short: it has crazy lag spikes for absolutely no reason at all, no matter the settings, I also tried with tweaking all the known file-related issues but nothing has solved the lag problem.

Theprovided instructions are still working perfectly as of right now (2016-10-28), on a retail uPlay version of Assassin's Creed 1, using Windows 8.1. Just make sure to launch the program in a compatibility mode for Windows 7, otherwise it will crash after a few seconds or when trying to save the profile.
